Pod 2: Community Relations

external image gogreen.jpg

The mission of Pod Two, Community Relations, is to connect our Environmental Science class with Twinsburg High School and the Twinsburg community. Our aim is to involve the school and the community in our class, and to make our school and community more environmentally aware.

Our group’s focus is community relations. It is our job to inform the community, our school, about the ‘going green’ movement.

Our goal in this class is to help the community become more aware of how their actions play into the environment, along with helping the school become more environmentally friendly.
Ways that you can help is by donating money or plants to the garden.

· Use aluminum or stainless steel water bottles (use tap water).
· Recycle paper and plastic and cans.
· Turn out lights when it’s not necessary to have them on.
· Turn off TV, printers, or computers when you’re not using it.
· Carpool more often.

The following video is from WatchMojo.com and discusses a few tips for "going green."
